Position SummaryWhat you'll doThe role will report to the Sr Manager of Capacity Solutions - Analytics within Inbound Transportation and is a pivotal opportunity in Bentonville, AR. This associate works alongside a skilled team of transportation capacity operators. The role focuses on developing, refining, and maintaining transportation capacity visibility and freight flow. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and interpret demand signals to anticipate workload needs and leverage spot market rates to help control cost. They create compelling visuals advocating for additional capacity and assist peers in communicating sporadic rate increases across the organization. Utilizing data insights, they will make informed decisions, understanding spot market swings and providing actionable plans to organizational leaders. These plans derived from operational feedback, inform capacity strategies across the organization, and enhance operational efficiency. Overall, this role serves as a key player in the transportation network's adaptability, leveraging data visualization and predictive analytics to shape strategic decisions. Operating at the node of data analysis, operational dynamics, and strategic planning, they facilitate organizational agility and growth. Strong business communication skills, both written and verbal; with ability to communicate / present to Operations teams, also ability to express complex technical topics clearly & easily.

Proficiency in Big Query, SQL, and GCP.

Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

Experience with Python.

2-3 years' experience working with carriers.

Strong pricing experience within a 3PL environment.

Familiarity with industry pricing tools.

Can effectively synthesize, visualize, and story-tell using data.

Ability to communicate across several partners; including operators, carrier partners, product managers, data analysts, engineers, and data scientists.

Ability to thrive in ambiguity and often lack of clarity, demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.

Partnering with our data science teams to develop best-in-class capabilities to identify defects programmatically, proactively and intelligently, and enable root cause analysis and case management to eliminate defects.

Ensuring final deliverables are actionable and communicated in a way that drives quantifiable business benefit in terms of improved efficiencies or improved decision making.

Examples of deliverables could range from data base management, scorecard development, reporting and visualization development and automation, descriptive analytics followed by predictive /prescriptive analytics.

Partner closely with Procurement, Finance, Operations, and other key stakeholders. Build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels to drive influence.
