The Science Teacher will deliver high-quality science instruction to grades 7-12 students. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans aligned with Arkansas state standards, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills.​Curriculum and InstructionDevelop and implement lesson plans that align with the Arkansas K-12 Science Standards.Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.Incorporate technology and real-world applications to enhance scientific understanding.Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback.​Classroom ManagementEstablish and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and respecting all students.Implement effective classroom management techniques to promote student engagement and discipline.Collaboration and Professional DevelopmentCollaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lessons and share best practices.Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.Engage with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address concerns.Other Responsibilities (As Needed)Supporting student recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities.Write letters of recommendation for students.Additional tasks as requested to support student achievement, school culture, and team collaboration.
