In our search for top talent, we are looking for those that will further enable us to deliver on our vision and fully support our values-driven culture.Currently, we are looking for a Business Analyst, TMS Configuration and Development to join the ArcBest team. The Business Analyst, TMS Configuration and Development serves as a software engineer and an expert in all technical aspects of Transportation Management Solutions in order to develop and configure the right system functionality to align with stated customer requirements. This position also translates those customer business requirements into functional design and then configure the software accordingly.Your contribution may include:

Provide pre-sales support throughout the entire sales cycle to ensure that stated customer needs and the solution design can adequately be met through the software configuration and provide best practices recommendations along the way.

Perform software application configuration, including attributes, workflows and user interfaces for customers, third party shippers, vendors and internal planning analysts in support of solution delivery initiatives.

Partner with the Solution Development team to design and/or develop the custom solution components by assisting in the definition of project scope, work/project plans, timelines and hourly technology cost and execution estimates.

Translate customer business requirements into data and then convert that data into usable formats for software configuration.

Able to configure software to support rates and flow business rules through LTL, TL and parcel modes. Knowledge of transportation, logistics & pricing terminology, with the ability to understand and dissect complex customer business rules.

Use LEAN supply chain principles to develop business process designs and improve operations via process re-engineering efforts.

Use, develop, and manipulate spreadsheets, data models, computer-generated reports, project management tools and various proprietary applications and system.

Identify and effectively assess improvement opportunities for the Managed transportation customers and uses the TMS platform to ensure desired results are realized.

Provide production support by demonstrating software system proficiency and leverage subject matter expertise to perform root cause analysis.

Coordinate issue resolution with vendors and cross functional teams/customers including communication on status resolution with all necessary parties.

Understand customer solutions and all ArcBest business units, processes, business goals and objectives.

Provide leadership in smaller work streams, and actively influence decisions within and outside the team in all areas of the business and in IT.

Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.

Proven use of the ArcBest and ABF quality processes.

Work in a team setting to accomplish departmental and individual goals.

Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As the Business Analyst, TMS Configuration and Development you will be a member of the ArcBest Yield: Managed Transportation team. Your work hours will be 8:00AM - 5:00PM with occasional irregular hours depending on workload. Ready to apply? Before doing so, please make sure you meet the minimum requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Education Arts or Science, preferred.Experience: Minimum, four years' business or IT cumulative experience working with Transportation Managements Systems, preferably Mercury Gate, Kewill, OTM, or JDA.Minimum, two years' experience working in various TMS software systems. Prior experience working with an integration of ERP/TMS and development of business roadmaps, preferred.Prior experience in a corporate setting.Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn new systems quickly.Other Requirements: Deep understanding of full functional breadth of TMS capabilities, best in class solutions and best practices. Overall end to end Supply Chain expertise, including demand planning, warehouse management, distribution, shipping, execution, transportation, supply chain finance implications, freight audit and payment and how they function inside business and integrate inside the TMS. Working knowledge of the transportation industry, preferably ABF and ArcBest resources and systems.
