Position: Buyer (Needed for a Food Manufacturer. Must have experience with ERP Systems.)

Location: Anaheim, CA

Hours: M-F, 8AM-5PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:

• Confirm all purchase orders (PO's) of issue for quantities, pricing and delivery dates
• Update system with accurate delivery dates
• Follow up on late PO's and push for updated delivery information
• Identify inventory shorts and stock positions to help achieve/maintain 98% fill rates
• Expedite material with suppliers to service back orders and low stock positions
• Work with team to relay information regarding production delays, delivery delays etc.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships through constant communication
• Maintain price sheets, lead-times and MOQ's from vendors and update within the system
• Create and update purchase orders as needed
• Follow up on any missing documentation from receiving i.e. COA's, BOL, etc. and forward to Receiving / QA departments quickly
• Supplier communications regarding closings and weather notices
• Handle shipping and PO variances with respective warehouse
• Coordinate vendor returns for damages and shipping errors
• Present continuous improvement ideas for processes as needed to ensure on-time and accurate quantities, pricing and delivery dates

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• College Degree and/or certification in Project Management preferred
• 2-3 years working in buying, planning, scheduling, project supervision experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and ERP experience preferred
