In this job, you’ll be a Production Manager within the Generation team, reporting to the Director of Eastern Operations & Catalina Planning. As a Catalina Production Senior Manager , you will be accountable and have responsibility for the safe and compliant operation and maintenance of Catalina’s generation fleet assets consisting of 6 diesel-fired generators, battery energy storage, and 23 propane-fired microturbines, as well as the grid operations center for this remote and isolated grid. In addition, you will be accountable and have responsibility for the safe and compliant operation and maintenance of Catalina’s water and gas utility systems. Develops and implements strategic plans for power generation and water and gas utilities, aligning with the overall business objectives of SCE
Oversees the optimization of power generation, water and gas operations, ensuring efficiency in plant performance, reliability, and availability while minimizing downtime
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, environmental standards, safety protocols and external operational coordination key island stakeholders
Manages the budget for power generation, water and gas activities, optimizing resource allocation, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising operational effectiveness
Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks associated with power generation, water and gas operations, including issues related to equipment failure, supply chain disruptions, and environmental impact
Drives initiatives to promote environmental sustainability, including the adoption of renewable energy sources, emission reduction strategies, and waste management programs
Establishes key performance indicators and monitors and reports on the performance of power generation, water and gas operations, making data-driven decisions to improve overall efficiency
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
Preferred Qualifications
5 or more years of supervisory experience.
Experience developing and/or constructing multiple generation technologies
Experience with grid operations and/or generation dispatch operations
7 or more years of power generation operations or maintenance experience
3 or more years of water and/or gas utility operations or maintenance experience
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is on-site . The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

The primary work location for this position is Catalina. The selected candidate must live on Catalina.
Position will require up to 40% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week. However, this position is salaried andmay require deviations from this work schedule based upon business needs.
