We have long-term, locum tenens positions that are available throughout the year at various state corrections facilities in the North of Bakersfield area. Dental Power receives various requests each month for long-term locum tenens positions and we can only submit dentist candidates who are pre-credentialed and ready to submit. Please read the following before expressing interest in being a candidate for this job:
1. Dentists MUST be available on a consistent weekly basis - most positions are for a 40-hour, Monday thru Friday work schedule. However, some positions are part-time / partial week. Position assignment periods customarily have lengths of between 1 to 6 months (or longer).
2. Dentist candidates must have a minimum of 1 year general dentistry experience.
3. The scope of work is to perform routine procedures, including partials, dentures, surgical extractions, and some anterior and premolar endodontics. There will be a registered dental assistant available for all procedures.

Compensation is significant and designed to cover housing needs for those who wish to relocate.
