Friendly Healthcare Office. Pleasant, fast paced specialty optometric practice is looking for a vision therapist trainee. Experience is not required. Teaching and/or homeschooling experience is a plus. The position requires working with children with vision related reading and learning problems, developmental delays, and adults post stroke or head injuries. The position is long-term part-time at 20-30 hours a week. A minimum of 3 afternoons per week will be required. Certification is a 3 year process. Applicant should be comfortable with computers with at least average typing speed, be a good speller, have good handwriting, and give attention to details. Applicant should also be a fast learner who is good under pressure, be able to take constructive criticism and open to cross training. Bilingual is a plus but not required.
