Job Description: CNC Operator
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years operating CNC machines.
Basic math/algebra skills.
Knowledge with CAD/CAM and/or a desire to learn/learn more is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
To take CNC programs, load the machines with the proper tools and steel, and run the programs.
Being that the machining to be done is for rubber molds, they will almost all be one-off jobs, and with very loose tolerances (+-.01 will generally be acceptable).
Have a desire for growth. We will eventually be moving to production as well, and will need someone to head this department, with CNC operators working underneath them.
Input data (ie. time it takes to make mold, etc.) for quoting/statistical purposes.
Day-to-day
Will be working with owner (who is currently doing the machining now) to learn the current process of how the machining is done. This will be your only boss/supervisor.
Hours can be flexible, more so as time goes on, and you know what you're doing.
The more skill either brought to the table, or acquired, will be reflected in compensation.
