Job Description:
As a CNC Operator specializing in Laser and Press Brake operations, you will be responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines to produce precise parts for our manufacturing processes. Your work will ensure that we meet quality standards while maintaining efficiency in production.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC Laser and Press Brake machines according to the technical specifications of the projects.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and 3D models to program CNC equipment for accurate part fabrication.
Load, unload, and secure materials and parts onto CNC machines.
Conduct regular quality checks using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure part accuracy.
Adjust machine settings (speed, material, etc.) based on part requirements.
Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot any issues during operation.
Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and cared for.
Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to discuss production schedules and resolve any discrepancies.
Perform routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical or technical issues to the maintenance team.
Follow safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a CNC Operator, specifically in Laser and Press Brake operations.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machine setup.
Hands-on experience with various CNC controls (e.g., Siemens, FANUC, etc.).
Understanding of different materials (metals, plastics) and their properties.
Ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality control.
Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform routine maintenance on CNC machines.
High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with laser cutting, press brake operations, or similar machinery.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and ability to modify programs.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
