Vet Sec HD is seeking a dedicated Standing Guard to join our team, specializing in construction site security in California. As an integral member of our security team, you will be responsible for patrolling and securing construction sites, identifying potential risks, and ensuring the safety of both staff and property.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor Construction Site: Patrol the site to prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and safety violations.
Control Access Points: Manage and verify the entry of authorized personnel, vehicles, and equipment.
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety protocols on site.
Inspect Perimeter: Regularly inspect the perimeter fencing, gates, and barriers to ensure they are secure.
Document Incidents: Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, including any security incidents, equipment malfunctions, or breaches.
Emergency Response: Coordinate with emergency services and on-site personnel in case of accidents, injuries, or other emergencies.
Environmental Monitoring: Report hazardous conditions such as spills, electrical issues, or unstable structures that may pose a threat to the site or personnel.
Ensure Proper Lighting: Check and maintain adequate lighting throughout the construction site to deter illegal activities during nighttime hours.
Follow Post Orders: Adhere to specific instructions and protocols tailored to the construction site’s security needs.
Qualifications:
Guard Card is Required.
Construction Site Experience Preferred: Previous experience in securing construction sites is highly desirable.
Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related fields.
Familiarity with security equipment, including surveillance cameras and access control systems.
Ability to handle the physical demands of patrolling a large site, including walking and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to recognize and address potential safety hazards.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Commitment to professionalism, service, and organizational values at all times.
Must pass a background check and drug test.
Must have your own vehicle for reliable transportation to various site locations.
