Yard Jockey/ Yard Goat / HostlerPay DOEVolt is currently recruiting for experienced Yard Jockeys. The experienced candidate will be responsible for movement of truck containers. 2-5 years experience. Experience not required but a plus as a forklift Operators - Sit down, Stand up & Reach Experience
Additional Responsibilities will include:
Operation of vehicle to move containers on/off the loading docks while maintaining a neat and organized yard
Responsible for all container movement.
Coordinates with Warehouse Manager on proper return dates and/or approaching demurrage charges for all containers
Maintain a daily logs of all containers
Professionally interaction with personnel as well as outside service
Other duties as assigned by management
Prior Driver experience is a must, current Class A preferred, ability to lift up to 50 lbs., prior warehouse knowledge and procedures needed. All candidates must pass Volt's pre-employment screening.
