As a Valve Technician Lead, you will supervise a team of 10 - 15 employees, ensuring efficient multi-tasking and meticulous attention to detail.
This role requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical skills akin to a proficient mechanic.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage a team of 10 - 15 employees. (open to individual technician role as well)
Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
Maintain a strong focus on technical skills and mechanical proficiency.
Interact with customers and fellow employees to ensure smooth operations.
Service and repair various types of valves in a production environment.
Essential Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in valve repair and maintenance.
Strong interpersonal skills for daily interaction with customers and team members.
Understanding of pressure systems and ability to service valves in a production setting.
Familiarity with NBIC, ANSI codes and their applications.
Basic understanding of electrical wiring schematics/P&IDs.
Ability to read and interpret maintenance and repair manuals.
Organizational skills to prioritize workload and maximize efficiency.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with manual machining, milling, lathes, VTL, schematics, blueprints, drill press, and horizontal boring.
Proficiency in handling block, control, isolation, manual, ball, gate, globe, check, butterfly, and arc valves.
Knowledge of field service, actuation, automation, and valve repair.
Experience with brands such as Velan, Crane Pacific, HP valves, HRH, CRH, and Main Steam.

Work Environment
The work environment is industrial and can be loud and dirty.
The team consists of 10-12 people working in both the machine shop and welding areas.
The shift runs from Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, with the expectation of overtime.
Candidates must be comfortable working in various conditions, from workshops to heavy industry facilities, and handling tools and processes that involve frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
Loose-fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted, and long hair must be tied back.
Compliance with the company's Drug and Alcohol Policy is mandatory.
