Hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!Job Summary:The NDT Inspector is responsible for inspecting hardware using magnetic particle and liquid penetrant methods. The role involves performing in-process and final inspections, using necessary tools and equipment, and working independently.Essential Functions:

Works from blueprints, customer drawings, engineering change notices, military standards, and established operating procedures to determine acceptance, rejection or rework requirements of assembled units or supplier components.

Familiar with NADCAP requirements and the AC check list for audits.

Conducts visual inspections with high level of accuracy to verify physical properties.

Ensures the build and test manufacturing process has been completed.

Proactively communicates errors and systemic trends to the quality organization.

Enters data into software tools.

Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of three years’ experience as a Quality Inspector or Operator in an electronics manufacturing environment required

Must be certified to Level II Nondestructive Tester for Magnetic Particle AND Penetrant Inspection. Must be certified to GSMP-NDI-QCP.

Proficient in English, and able to read and interpret specifications, technical bulletins, and drawings.

Familiarity with pre and post cleaning requirements and safety procedures is essential.

Knowledge:

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Skills/Abilities:

Familiarity with pre and post cleaning requirements and safety procedures is essential.

Must be Certified Level 2 / be able to provide documented evidence of 400 hours of certification

Use liquid penetrate method

Must know how to inspect hardware using the magnetic particle method

Accurate color vision and depth perception; vision corrected to 20/20

General PC skills, Including Word, Excel, and Oracle

Able to read and interpret specifications, technical bulletins, and drawings.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, Including interfacing with other management, internal Quality Engineers, Customers, and other Internal personnel.

Must be able to speak, read and write in English proficiently.

Education/Certification:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

NDT Level II certifications in Magnetic Particle AND Penetrant Inspection

Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment ( P ersonal P rotective E quipment) to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes

Involves handling parts in compliance with Electrostatic Discharge Devices (ESD procedures)

Standing: 10% percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
