Job DescriptionInsight Global's client, a rapidly growing personal injury law firm, is looking to hire a Trial Attorney in their Burbank, California office. This individual will be responsible for representing their clients in the California court system while also completing legal research and gathering evidence on their cases. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of trial attorney experience (first chair) or the equivalent of working on 20+ trials.Responsibilities:· Day-to-day handling of cases from filing of the complaint to trial.· Provide guidance and lead the litigation team.· Taking depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.· Reviewing drafted documents from staff and associates.· Trial preparation and strategy.· Prepare and strategize Motions in Limine and associated trial documents.· Settlement negotiations.· Settlement/dispositive proceedings [Mediations, arbitrations, etc.]· Jury trials as First Chair.· Post-trial motions.· Provide legal opinions to clients.Skills and RequirementsRequired qualifications:· Minimum 5-10 years trial experience as first chair [or minimum 20 civil trials].· Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.· Minimum of 5 years of Personal injury litigation experience [preferred].· Be able to work under strict deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.· Be able to handle a large case load.· Strong legal research and analysis.· Strong legal writing skills.· Law and motion experience.· Well organized and detail oriented.· Reliable and punctual. nullWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
