Title: Lead Software Engineer
Location: 100% remote. Client is in Burbank, CA
Type: Full time employment preferred. Open to contract to hire.
Salary: Commensurate to experience

Our client is a media technology company that provides transformative digital media distribution services and solutions to the entertainment industry. Job Description:
Our cutting-edge client seeks (1) one motivated, team-oriented "full-stack " lead engineer to help grow core technologies as well as design and develop new technologies to help meet the unique demands of the media industry. As part of a small (but growing!) team, your ability to impact and advance leading technologies will be nearly unlimited.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work closely with the Director of Product Engineering and Director of Product Management, as well as other critical business owners both internally and externally. In your role, you will help define and implement new features and functionality across our broad software architecture, as well as support and maintain existing products.

Required skills:
- Feature development for both frontend (Vue) and backend (Laravel / Node.JS) applications
- Integration requirements and development for internal and 3rd party applications or services
- Refining engineering team best practices and workflows (Git flow / automated deployment / etc.)
- Prototyping of new technologies to reduce cost and increase engineer velocity
- 3-5 years' experience with Laravel / Vue.JS
- 3-5 years' experience with Node.JS / Express / etc.
- Extremely technical hands-on software experience balancing frontend vs. backend requirements
- Ability to work within a distributed team
- Cloud Experience with: AWS Lambda (Serverless Framework), S3, ECS and SQS
- General Experience with: Docker, MySQL (RDS), Laravel, Vue.JS, MongoDB
- Extra points - Experience with Kubernetes or building and interacting with an event-driven microservice architecture
