Ability to identify dominant failure modes with electronic devices.
Ability to predict/estimate time to failure based on historical failures and accelerated life testing. This is expected to be based on statistical/probabilistic models.
Perform economic breakeven sensitivity analysis based on economics and manufacturer warranty periods and recommend warranty extension, partial extension, or no extension.
Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Weibull analysis
Basic technical understanding of electronic devices and components (e.g. batteries, communication modules, etc.)
Utilities and smart metering experience is a bonus, but not required.
Experience as a professional quality or reliability engineer.
Provide references of prior experience and knowledge with AMI MTU (maximum transmission unit)
