Description Robert Half is seeking a driven accounting professional for a Staff Accountant in the manufacturing industry. This organization is looking to add a Staff Accountant who will grow with the organization, starting in AP and eventually expanding within the organization - a great opportunity to grow. Experience with the ERP, "SyteLine" is heavily preferred. Here's a bit of what you'll do:
Process a high volume of invoices (up to 250 per week) accurately and efficiently.
Review invoices for accuracy, appropriate documentation, and adherence to company policies.
Verify and reconcile discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
Enter invoice data into our accounting software (SyteLine or related software) with a high level of accuracy.
Prepare and process electronic payments and checks to vendors in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and documentation related to accounts payable.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices.
Assist with ad-hoc projects and assignments related to accounts payable and finance as needed
Requirements
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Proven experience in processing a high volume of invoices (up to 250 per week) with a high degree of accuracy.
Experience using accounting software, preferably SyteLine.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
Previous experience in the agriculture industry is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenges independently.
