Description Robert Half Healthcare is doing the hiring process for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk for a rapidly-expanding healthcare company in the Greater Sacramento area. Matching, batching, and coding invoices, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, and resolving A/P issues are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be a great opportunity!Your responsibilities in this role:
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Execute full-cycle A/P
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Great attention to detail
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
