Are you full-charge bookkeeper or an accountant early in your career, tired of dry cleaning bills and being stuck in a cubicle? Our client is a successful and well-respected agricultural business specializing in processing and marketing of high-quality rice. Located in Nelson, CA, this organization is in search of an experienced accounting professional to join its staff. If this sounds like you, we need to talk.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Processing invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions
Preparing initial financial statements
Reconciling accounts and preparing reconciliation reports
Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, and some GL and cost accounting
Month-end and year-end close process
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
2-year Degree in Accounting or related discipline
Proven professional experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or accountant
Highly proficient in 10-key and data entry
Proficient with accounting software (Quick Books preferred) including Excel and other databases
Experienced in MSWord and standard business technologies
Position is contingent upon post-offer background check
Contingent upon favorable and verifiable professional references
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
4-year Degree in Accounting or related discipline
Accounting experience with an agricultural production facility
Experience within the rice industry
COMPENSATION (Salary & Benefits)
Up to $65,000 starting salary (commensurate with education, skills, and experience)
