Kernen Construction is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. Candidates should possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related coursework and possess a solid work ethic. Work experience in the construction industry is preferred. Job duties will vary based on the strengths of the successful candidate but may include:
As an Estimator/Project Manager at Kernen Construction you will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of construction projects. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, managing project budgets, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with clients will be essential to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed project cost estimates based on project specifications and requirements.
Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and team members to ensure project goals are met.
Develop and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
Procure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services as required for project execution.
Implement effective project risk management strategies.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
Prepare regular progress reports for clients and company management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as an Estimator/Project Manager in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
Proficiency in construction estimating software and project management tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Pay: $100,000 - $140,000 per year based on experience
