Position overview: Responsible for the day-to-day scheduling of nursing personnel and staffing to assure that proper patient care and administrative procedures are maintained at all times
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to remain calm in a crisis situation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with others
Positive attitude towards work and residents
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Nurse Staffing and evaluation of daily staffing patterns in nursing department
Confer with Director of Nursing concerning needed changes in daily staffing
Plans and prepares daily staffing assignments for licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants
Control overtime through adequate planning and communication with nursing staff
Prepares and posts Staffing Schedules and Staffing Assignments
Maintain current list of active nursing personnel for the purpose of scheduling
Work beyond normal working hours and occasionally on weekends and/or holidays when necessary
Must be able to cope with the physical, mental and emotional stress of the position
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm + Weekends as needed
