Field Supervisor – Butte County and Surrounding Areas

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a reliable Field Supervisor to cover the following areas: Chico, Paradise, Magalia, Concow and surrounding areas. This position will report to our Butte County Branch and will be responsible for the supervision of our local traffic control jobsites and traffic control field technicians. As a Field Supervisor you must have excellent communication and attention to detail. You must be able to identify safety hazards, inefficiencies in field quality and scheduling, training opportunities and future hiring needs. The goal is to ensure all B.A.T.S. technicians are operating per company standard and are constantly being developed, and that our jobsites are properly staffed and Customers are satisfied with our field performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervises Traffic Control Techs assigned to his/her region
Routes Traffic Control personnel to jobsite locations/Scheduling & Dispatching
Conducts onsite employee performance evaluations
Conducts job-site inspections and submits daily quality assurance evaluations
Communicates with customers to help identify both efficiencies and inefficiencies
in field performance and location staffing. Will adjust as needed
Provides feedback, coaching and counseling to Field Techs
Monitors performance evaluation metrics
Works closely with Safety Manager and Trainer to facilitate employee training needs
Works with Safety Department to identify new training curriculum opportunities specific to his/her
region
Works with HR to conduct Field investigations as needed
Works close with the Dispatch Team to ensure Field Technicians are being utilized properly and fairly
Other field and office duties as assigned by Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid CA Driver’s License required
Clean driving record required
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety and or Construction Management or equivalent experience required
3+ Years Supervisory Experience with 10 or more direct reports
Mentor Skills are a must
Conflict Resolution skills are a must
Working proficiency with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Forms preferred
Working proficiency with Salesforce & Google Docs a plus
American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) certified flagger preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal agencies including Occupational Health and Safety/Cal OSHA,
Department of Transportation, Department of Industrial Relations
Ability to provide training, speak to groups of people, and facilitate or lead investigations
CPR/First Aid certified preferred but not required
Osha 500 certified preferred but not required
Good oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills a must
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Ability to exercise discretion regarding confidential and sensitive information
Scheduling experience preferred
Good geographical knowledge of Butte County and Surrounding Areas
Bi-lingual a plus but not required
