Maintenance Technician
Under general direction, the Maintenance Technician will provide maintenance; both scheduled and repair work, to Joy Signal equipment as well as their facility.
Example of Duties:
Set up and maintain all necessary equipment used by production to perform daily operation needs
Analyze problems and troubleshoot machinery and equipment
Provide preventative maintenance and minor repair of equipment
Lifting and moving heavy equipment
Crating/uncrating and set-up/breakdown of machinery and equipment
Assist in training other team members and develop written processes and procedures when required
Make appropriate log entries and fill out required reports
Document work performed as required
Observe safety rules and regulations
Perform other duties as required
Special Skills:
Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, and some computer programing
Ability to understand and use precision test equipment
Ability to read and work with diagrams, engineering drawing, sketches, machine service manual, machine assembly prints, vendor diagrams and schematics
Ability to work effectively with other
Equipment:
Precision test equipment, molders, welders, ladders, laser equipment, power tools, pneumatic lines, computer, various electrical/electronic equipment
Physical Activities
Stands and walks for extended periods of time
Stoops, kneels, crouches, climbs during maintenance work
Must be able to carry, push, pull, reach, grasp and lift material and tools weighing up to 50lbs.
This position works with various personnel and all departments. Must have excellent communication skills and adapt to a fast paced environment and be able to move from task to task quickly and efficiently.
