A qualified Equipment operator for D7G Bulldozer 2500 gallon water tender and 18 speed 3 axle semi truck and low bed trailer.
This position is for operating the above equipment on Wild land fires in all of California's counties. This is a high intensity and high pressure environment and is full of excitement. The company is contracted with Cal Fire to assist in the suppression of Wild land fires. The pay for this position is on a slide scale starting at 250$ per day and up to 700+ $ a day with year end bonus. We are looking for candidates that can operate either D7G'S , 2500 Gallon Water tenders, and 18 speed 3-axle tractor units, or can operate all the equipment. Qualifications: Must be able to Operate one or more of the following:
Cat D7G:
Proficiently operate Caterpillar D7G with Dozer blade. Must be able to operate blade in extreme fire conditions on many different mountainous terrains. Must operate a winch and be able to choke and pull/log fallen trees.
2015 Freightliner 122SD 3-axle Semi and lowbed trailer (rear load):
This is an 18 speed heavy haul 3-axle semi truck with locking rear ends and PTO capabilities. This equipment also requires the ability to transport an over width Bull Dozer in many mountainous terrains.
Ford L9000 2500 water tender:
This is a 2500 gallon water tender. Must be able to operate 10 speed transmission. Engage PTO for water pumps, must be able to engage a draft situation for filling tank. This is a non CDL A license requirement, but candidate should have experience with water trucks.
