Parts Estimator/Shuttle Driver/Service Writer III

We are currently looking for an PARTS ESTIMATOR / SHUTTLE DRIVER / SERVICE WRITER III to join our TEAM

Areas of Responsibility:

1. As Estimator this job is uniquely responsible for producing repair estimates in a timely manner.

2. Some of the Estimator’s position responsibilities overlap on some level with the General Manager

and Service Writer I. They assist each other toward the common goals of 100% customer

satisfaction and company profitability, so teamwork is essential.

3. The Estimator is also responsible for following company policies and procedures as outlined

here, in the employee manual and in task specific procedures.

4. Parts / Part Inventory:

a) Process part returns, core returns and warranty claims ensuring we receive proper credits.

b) Check in parts as they are delivered, keeping parts shelf clean, organized and monitored.

c) Enter parts and vendor pricing on work order in NapaTracs program.

d) Complete parts tag with pertinent job information and deliver expediently to job shelf.

e) Make sure wrong or unwanted parts are returned to the proper places in a timely manner

ensuring we receive proper credit.

f) Keep parts procedure for technicians to follow - update as needed.

g) Intersect delivery drivers to pick up returns and provide required documentation as needed.

h) Check inventory, order parts or stock items via phone/fax/web to maintain stock levels.

i) Number and enter new inventory as needed.

j) Update tire inventory every Monday and order tires for stock on Tuesdays before 1:30 p.m.

k) Pick up or Drop off Customers as needed.

Daily/Weekly Duties (or as required):

Accurate and timely estimates will require mastery of our software tools including Identifix and Smartflow

1. Keep work area clean, organized and safe.

2. Receive inspections reports from Techs

3. Build estimates for all technician

recommendations on Inspection and R/O.

4. Confirm availability and delivery times for

parts.

5. Move vehicle to the proper workflow step.

6. Text/email inspection to customers and notify

SW’s that the estimate is complete.

7. Shuttle customers to/from as required.

8. Write up and schedule service jobs.

9. Ensure the front office is “manned” at all

times during the day.

10. Answer phones (never more than 3 rings)

and handle vendor calls as needed.

11. Order parts for specific repair orders by

telephone, fax, email and Internet.

12. Help SW’s create daily carry over list ensuring

that all carry over vehicles are on the schedule.

13. Help track time for repair orders to

develop/maintain standards and reach

production goals.

14. Calling tomorrow’s customers for appointment

reminders to ensure we minimize costly

“no shows”.

15. Begin estimates for R/Os that are already on the

schedule for future dates.

16. Assist with cleaning up the TVP and POS R/O

list, making sure technicians are assigned

correctly

Compensation: this is an hourly rate position with production incentive bonus program.

We offer company match 401k and other inhouse employee benefits.

Starting base earnings $37,000 – 45,000.00 the more you produce the more potential income you gain.
