Description:The Senior Accountant is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of all transactions in the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP Accounting Standards. Key responsibilities for our Senior Accountant include monthly financial closings, account reconciliation, corporate reporting, , financial analysis, accounts payable support, working on special projects and responding to various ad hoc management requests.Per assignment, this position will participate in strategic initiatives and/or ad hoc projects. The successful candidate will drive new insights into key financial and performance drivers and be a trusted business partner. This position will interface with all levels within the Corporation and Global entities.Key Duties and Responsibilities Participate in month-end close activities, which include balancing sheet reconciliations, ad-hoc analyses, trial balance reviews, and financial statement preparation, while adhering to tight deadlines. Ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAP and company policy. Document accounting policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement. Oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle of our e-commerce business. Prepare daily credit card sales reconciliations in accordance with merchant accounts and credit card processing integrations. Identify and improve account reconciliation, system enhancements, reports, and third-party consultant-relationships for efficiency. Serve as the main contact for all accounts payable-related needs within the department to drive deadlines and enhance deliverables pertaining to month-end close. Assist and/or lead various external audits and prepare assigned schedules for the annual audits. Lead projects, ad hoc analyses, creation of new reports, audit existing reports and other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks may be required from time to time.Skills:accrual, inter company transactions, ecommerce, retail industry, excel database, start ups financial analysis, Direct salesTop Skills Details:ecommercefinancial statement preparationstart up financial analysisAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Advance degree preferred. Active CPA license a plus; preferably with Big 4 or national accounting firm experience. Minimum of 5 years progressive responsibility in accounting in a relevant industry; e-commerce or retail accounting experience is preferred Strong knowledge of ERP solutions (KBM a plus) Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Strong leadership skills A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player. Looking for someone who can help guide them through this company set up, do they have account procedures in place, is the P&L set up as it should be, order, cash processes etc. Someone familiar with intercompany transactionsComfortable with a lot of interaction with sales, dealers, marketing.
