Leadership & Team CoordinationAssign daily tasks and ensure employees understand expectations.Conduct shift huddles to communicate goals, safety reminders, and priorities.Promote teamwork, accountability, and positive work culture.Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members.Provides timely, effective written responses to inquiriesProduction Flow & Performance OversightEnsure production “Flow” (materials, information, people) runs smoothly.Proactively address delays, bottlenecks, and workload changes.Monitor hourly performance and update Hour‑by‑Hour boards and KPI towers.Utilize production tools (e.g., MES, production calculators, metrics dashboards).Quality & Process ComplianceReview FG Inspection Error reports and take corrective actions.Ensure adherence to work instructions, quality standards, and procedures.Collaborate with QA to resolve material, quality, or equipment issues.Maintain accurate quality documentation and updates.Safety & 6S ResponsibilitiesConduct 6S audits and ensure adherence to safety standards.Enforce PPE and safe work practices.Report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.Support ongoing safety initiatives.Inventory & Order ManagementMonitor raw material and finished goods levels; communicate shortages.Ensure accurate order setup (e.g., adjustments, groupings, cut‑offs).Manage order modifications Past due orders and ensure timely, accurate processing.Reporting & Administrative SupportUpdate production logs, tracking sheets, and department reporting tools.Provide performance metrics and reports to Production Supervisors.Assist with timekeeping, attendance notes, and performance documentation.Contribute input for evaluations and coaching conversations.Training & DevelopmentTrain new and existing employees in procedures, quality, and safety.Support cross‑training efforts to strengthen team flexibility.Assist in implementing solutions for performance issues.Cross-Department CommunicationCommunicate effectively with planning, QA, maintenance, and other departments.Escalate issues early and clearly to maintain production flow.Other DutiesPerforms additional duties as assigned, supporting operational needs across various departments.Demonstrate flexibility to meet business needs and customer lead times.QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or GED preferred.ExperienceMinimum 2 years of Lead experience preferred.Minimum 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment (door hardware preferred).SkillsStrong leadership and communication abilities.Knowledge of manufacturing, quality, and safety requirements.Proficiency with production tools (e.g. Thrive MES,WMS, Excel, ERP).Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.Ability to read/interpret technical documents.Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Ability to communicate effectively in English.RequirementsAbility to lead a diverse team to meet production goals.Attention to detail and strong commitment to company standards.Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.Consistent adherence to safety, quality, and process expectations.Physical Demands  Prolonged standing and walking on the production floor.Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs (documents or light items).Ability to move safely through manufacturing areas.
