Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Compensation & Benefits Specialist in the local government sector. This role primarily involves the administration of employee compensation and benefits, and utilizing various skills such as auditing, CRM, and communication. Responsibilities: Administer and process employee benefits accurately and efficiently Manage compensation functions, ensuring adherence to established standards and regulations Utilize ADP Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, and Ceridian systems for various administrative tasks Conduct regular audits to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with local government regulations Handle COBRA administration tasks, ensuring seamless benefits transition for eligible employees Resolve employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits in a timely manner Utilize Cisco Webex Meetings for virtual communications and meetings Manage claims administration, coordinating with relevant parties as necessary Maintain open communication channels with employees, addressing any concerns or queries about their compensation and benefits Continually update knowledge on relevant local government regulations and guidelines related to employee compensation and benefits.Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits in the Local Government sector Proficient in the use of ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now Familiarity with Ceridian and Cisco Webex Meetings software Experience with CRM systems Strong auditing skills, particularly in relation to benefits and compensation Proven experience in benefit functions, including designing, planning, and implementing benefits programs Experience in claim administration and COBRA administration Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to interpret and advise on compensation and benefits regulations and legislation Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
