F-22 Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Description: Operating in an F-22 Flight Test flight line and modificationenvironment:-Perform final preparation of aircraft, and the diagnosis, repair andrework of operational malfunctions or failures disclosed duringpreflight preparation, preflight, postflight, and/or actual flight and flight test operations for F-22 FlightTest at Edwards AFB, California.-Must be able to make complete final operational checks, rework,repair, adjustment, and servicing of military aircraft. Be able to use mechanic's hand tools, precision measuring instruments andspecial test equipment.-Structures repair to include drilling, reaming, riveting, removing stuck or broken fasteners-Aerospace Ground Equipment inspection and use for ground operating procedures such as towing, jacking, external power,cooling and hydraulic power application.-Must have basic knowledge of composites fabrication as it relates to structural modification.-Work to blueprints, diagrams, sketches, service bulletins,maintenance manuals and technical orders.-Drill, ream, countersink holes, install fasteners and rivets as required.-Performs final finishing, grinding and polishing of parts asrequired.-Proficient at removal, installation, repair and swaging of hydraulic tubing.Basic Qualifications:-Experience with Launch, recover, pre-flight/post-flight inspection, refuel/defuel, hydraulic/oil/nitrogen servicing on fighter aircraft.-Experience working with Electrical System Ground Handling and Test Equipment.-Experience working with blueprints, diagrams, sketches, service bulletins, maintenance manuals and technical orders etc.-Experience with 5th Generation FightersDesired Skills:4 years of flight line mechanic experience on 5th generationfighter aircraft.-Extensive structural repair experience on 5th generation.-Proficient with aircraft towing, jacking and servicing.-Aircraft modification & repair experience- Active security clearance-Structures repair with an emphasis on precision drilling on and off aircraft.-Flight test experienceSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
