Description ROBERT HALF is partnering with an international video game company in their search for a Commercial Contracts Attorney to support their team on a long-term contract. This role will partner with a collegial in-house legal team and focus on Commercial Contracts. This position is fully remote and requires being licensed to practice law in the United States.We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Contracts Attorney with experience in the gaming industry who thrives in a fast-paced and innovative environment. This position will focus heavily on drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a wide range of contracts, including licensing, publishing, marketing, and technology agreements specific to the gaming space. Additionally, the attorney will play an integral role in advising on data privacy compliance, ensuring the company adheres to applicable global regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy frameworks.Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage various commercial contracts, including outsourcing, publishing, licensing, platform distribution, and technology agreements, partner agreements, service contracts, licensing deals, NDAs, and sponsorship agreements.
Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate contract risks while aligning agreements with company goals, policies, and applicable legal standards.
Compliance & Data Privacy: Provide legal counsel on domestic and international data privacy regulations impacting the gaming industry, including compliance with GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, and similar laws.
Cross-functional Support: Collaborate closely with business teams such as marketing, product development, and technology to ensure contracts are consistent with commercial objectives and legal requirements.
