A prestigious company is on the search for a VP of Information Technology. They need someone who has experience working in a startup environment and help them formalize their IT department. This position will look after everything IT, such as help desk, service desk, networking, security, infrastructure, database, applications, etc. They will help grow and develop the entire IT infrastructure and help guide this company in the right direction.
Responsibilities:

• Actively develop, communicate, and implement This company’s ’ information technology strategic vision, and all aspects of technological development, growth, and maintenance that incorporates the voice of the customer
• Oversee operations that safeguard systems and data through proper access controls, internal permissions, monitoring of accesses and processes, and response.
• Ensure IT compliance or enablement with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Interact and lead discussions with external audit.
• Ensure that operational processes including application support and development, system administration, helpdesk, security, telecommunications, and audio-visual are run efficiently, delivering reliable and timely customer service.
• Directs the preparation, review, and consolidation of IT business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Formulates IT policies, procedures, and performance management processes and measures.
• Ensure organizational compliance with respective global, federal, state, and local requirements by staying informed, studying existing and new legislation, anticipating potential legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, completing necessary reporting, advising management on needed actions, and leading change to ensure compliance.
• Ensures processes and systems are developed and maintained to provide the required information for This company’s decision makers and users.
• Leads the development, communication, and execution of all applicable policies as they relate to information systems and compliance standards.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent business degree.
• External audit or consulting experience preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years experience in technology with a minimum of 5 years leading multiple teams.
• Strategic visionary, ability to see the big picture (current and future) of our business applications and infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to delegate, build consensus, create accountability and drive for results
• Significant leadership and expertise in enterprise software, cloud-based IT infrastructure, helpdesk management, and supporting software development.
• Experience with Microsoft application suite and services including Azure, Dynamics 365, Power BI, data warehouse and business intelligence applications.
• Highly proficient in contract negotiations, contract maintenance, and vendor management.
• In depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), EU-GDPR).
