From our team of expert cancer doctors, researchers, nurses and staff, to our research and treatment innovations, we're here to guide patients during their cancer journey.As our next Clinical Pharmacist, you will use your outstanding clinical competencies to provide pharmacy services at Cedars-Sinai Oncology location in Tarzana.Summary of Essential Duties:Evaluation of drug therapies, development of treatment plans, initiation, titration/tapering and discontinuation of medications under protocol, ordering necessary lab tests under protocol, patient education and follow-up.
Verification of medications and orders and educating patients requiring injections and oral chemotherapy.
Participation in patient medication therapy management in Pay for Performance initiatives.
Documentation of patient progress and outcomes for future reporting.
Providing therapeutic recommendations and answering medication and patient -related questions from other healthcare providers.
Providing instruction to patients through health education classes and other patient seminars.
Active participation in EMR updates and new developments as pertaining to medications.
Oversight of the chemotherapy inventory, compounding process and oral chemotherapy program.

License/Certifications:Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of California required
BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
Experience:A minimum of 2 years of Oncology experience preferred
