Description We are working with local Non-Profit organizations in search of Bookkeepers to support their year-end reporting and day to day operations.These opportunities will strictly support our clients on the interim basis, so will only be suitable for those who have flexibility to start work immediately. General day to day responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and non-profit accounting standards.
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Reconcile bank statements and prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
Generate 1099 forms and other required tax documents.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Stay informed of changes in non-profit accounting regulations and best practices.
Collaborate with the Finance Director and other team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
Requirements
Associate's degree in accounting or business administration preferred, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
Strong understanding of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles.
Proficiency in bookkeeping software, such as QuickBooks Online or Desktop.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Highly detail-oriented and accurate.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
