Description We are seeking a skilled Litigation Legal Secretary to Fairfield based Insurance Defense Law Firm. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to our attorneys, assisting in all stages of litigation. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to attorneys, including drafting and prooing legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.

Manage attorney calendars, scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines.

Coordinate court filings, including e-filing and service of documents.

Maintain electronic and physical case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating witness appearances.

Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties involved in legal matters.

Perform general office duties such as answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.

Requirements

Requirements:

Significant experience as a legal secretary required, preferably in insurance defense or civil litigation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, ProLaw).

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with both State and Federal e-filing

Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or collaboratively as needed.

Familiarity with California court rules and procedures is required.
