Our client is looking for growth in the market and for the right team player to help them get there. If you can provide oversight of the day-to-day accounting functions as well provide strategic insight through reporting, analyzing, and providing good, solid financial information, this may be the job for you.
-Directs budgets and cost controls, financial analysis, accounting practices and reporting
-Collects, analyzes, and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve operations and financial performance identifying trends, opportunities, and risk
-Prepares monthly reports of results, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan, and strategic planning
-Achieves budget and forecasting objectives by scheduling expenditures; variance analysis and initiating corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with adhering to GAAP standards
- Manage banking relations and prepare and report borrowing base calculations
-Oversees and manages accounting staff and oversight of closing processes
Requirements
-7-10 years of hands-on financial and operational cost control managerial experience in manufacturing, distribution, or related industries
or
-5-7 years of audit/assurance in CPA firm
-4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required. Master’s and or CPA a plus
-Strong knowledge of internal controls and GAAP
-Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook required
-Excellent cross departmental communication and organizational skills
-Professional written and spoken communication and presentation skills. Ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
-Strong knowledge of IT systems and Accounting Software, Oracle is a plus
