POSITION SUMMARY: Provide support and assistance to production workers, including ensuring accurate ingredients are delivered to the production areaDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Club Pack Area
Perform all shipping & receiving functions for all work areas, setting up lines correctly;
Ensure labels stickers & shrink wrap is applied properly;
Ensure packaging meets customer specifications, all work performed is FIFP and no lots are mixed;
Verify product type is available, delivered, and ready for work;
Follow all requirements needed for rework, club pack and MODs;
Spice Room Area
Prepare spice mixes in accordance with the batch cards and standard, sanitary procedures;
Cannot be allergic to fine ingredients and dust particles;
Mixing cheese and various spices to accurate proportions;
Inspect raw materials prior to use
Observe operations to detect product (raw or finished) defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary;
Maintain GMP (good housekeeping) standards at and around machinery;
Perform SOP’s for machinery in assigned area;
Work in a safe manner, consistent with company safety rules and regulations;
Maintain good attendance record per company policy;
Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED;
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather, skid resistant work shoes/boots;
Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions and reasoning;
Ability to use various hand tools (knife, water house, band cutters, can opener and scales);
Previous experience operating a forklift (for applicable work areas);
Lock out/tag out certified;
Possess a continuous improvement and team orientated mind set.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:
Long periods of standing/moving, working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors
Loud environment, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions
Lifting/carrying <50 pounds
Frequent reaching/pulling/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending
