We are looking for an organized and experienced medical biller to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in billing software, medical insurance regulations, and an expert at responding to patient and insurance inquiries. Please note this is an in-office position in Fresno, CA.
Responsibilities:
Claim appeals – research and appeal as needed
Review EOB’s
Follow up on unpaid claims
Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance
Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary
Respond to patient or insurance telephone inquiries regarding insurances and payments
Follow all regulations and guidelines set by Medicare, state programs, and HMO/PPO
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in medical billing, coding and collections
Proficient with ICD 10 and A.R.
Familiarity with most health insurance plans
Ability to work independently, problem solve, and communicate effectively
