We are looking for the right person to join our team of Loving caregivers who provide care for our wonderful parents who are 96 yrs old.
We are looking for someone who needs a safe place to live in exchange for night time care. You will also receive payment from IHSS for some hours. We are looking for someone who really cares about people and works from their heart and is able to keep Mom and Dad active and happy.
Dad /Bert is still amble ( stand by assist ) with balance issues so you must stay with him when he is up and walking.Mom is mostly bed ridden but gets up daily. Mom requires personal feeding due to swallowing problems. They need a happy, active, watchful caregiver, who is health conscious and knows how to keep them safe and happy, transfers and gait belt knowledge is important.
They both have short term memory loss and Dad is hard of hearing but is mentally present and can speak with you but you must speak into Dads ear.
We use many alternative methods of keeping them healthy including supplements, protein drinks, aroma therapy and essential oils, massage and herbal remedies. We minimize the Pharmaceutical drugs they take.
REQUIREMENTS ( Please read completely and only apply if you qualify )
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH CARE TAKING ELDERS, AT LEAST 3 YRS (WE WILL TRAIN YOU ON THE SPECIFICS) MUST HAVE VERIFIABLE REFERENCES WITH OTHERS BESIDES YOUR OWN FAMILY.
MUST BE REGISTERED OR WILLING TO BE REGISTERED WITH IHSS, THEY ARE YOUR PAYMASTER.
MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO LOVE AND RESPECT ELDERS, BE PATIENT AND KIND, WITH A HAPPY GOOD NATURE
YOU NEED TO BE HEALTHY AND STRONG, NO MEDICAL PROBLEMS OF YOUR OWN, QUICK THINKING AND MOVING AS HE OFTEN NEED STABILIZING IN HIS WALKING
MUST HAVE OWN CAR ,DRIVERS LICENSE, INSURANCE BE A GOOD, SAFE DRIVER,
MOST IMPORTANT- MUST BE DEPENDABLE AND A GOOD SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS THOSE DEPENDING ON YOU.
