HEAVENLY FLOORS, ARE SIKING FOR BILINGUAL CARPET AND FLOOR INSTALLERS.
The Carpet and Flooring Installer is responsible for the installation of a variety of
flooring materials, including vinyl, laminate, carpet, and hardwood flooring. This
role involves preparing surfaces, removing old flooring, and ensuring all
installations meet company standards and customer specifications. The Installer
will maintain tools and equipment, collaborate with team members to ensure
timely project completion, and communicate effectively with clients to address
questions or concerns.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in tracking and managing inventory levels of flooring materials,
adhesives, and tools to ensure adequate supplies for upcoming projects.
Conduct site assessments prior to installation to identify potential
challenges, such as uneven surfaces or structural issues, and recommend
solutions.
Provide professional advice to customers regarding flooring materials,
maintenance, and care instructions to enhance their satisfaction.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring the worksite is safe for
the team and clients.
Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.
Mentor junior installers or apprentices by demonstrating proper techniques
and sharing industry knowledge.
Perform repairs on damaged or defective flooring as requested by clients or
as part of warranty services.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of materials used, work completed, and hours
worked for each project.
Submit project completion reports or status updates to supervisors.
Conduct post-installation inspections to ensure the flooring meets company
standards and customer expectations.
Ensure the worksite is clean and free of debris after installation is complete,
leaving the space ready for client use.
Represent the company professionally by wearing appropriate uniforms,
maintaining a tidy appearance, and delivering excellent customer service.
Occasionally provide testimonials, photos, or examples of completed
projects for marketing materials or the company portfolio.
Essential Functions:
Install various types of flooring materials, including vinyl, laminate, carpet,
and hardwood flooring.
Prepare and measure areas for flooring installation, ensuring accurate
cutting and fitting.
Remove old flooring as needed and prepare surfaces for new installation by
cleaning, leveling, or repairing.
Ensure all installations meet company standards, safety guidelines, and
customer specifications.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any
issues promptly.
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time
and within budget.
Communicate effectively with clients to address questions, provide
updates, and resolve concerns.
Perform work that requires prolonged periods of kneeling, crouching, or
bending, with repetitive motions such as cutting, fitting, and securing
flooring materials.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Minimum Education (or Substitute Experience) Required:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Technical training in flooring installation is a plus.
Minimum Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years of proven experience in flooring installation.
Skills Required:
Proven expertise in installing vinyl, laminate, carpet, and hardwood
flooring.
Knowledge of flooring materials, tools, and installation techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Reliable transportation.
