Job description: Irrigation Tech
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our team. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of irrigation systems, landscaping, and mechanical skills.
Duties:
- Install and set up new irrigation systems based on design plans
- Perform regular maintenance on existing irrigation systems, including checking for leaks, adjusting sprinkler heads, and replacing damaged components
- Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system issues, such as broken pipes, faulty valves, wiring issues or malfunctioning timers
- ensure proper irrigation coverage for plants and lawns
- Monitor water usage and make adjustments to optimize efficiency and conserve water resources
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for irrigation system installation and maintenance
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as an Irrigation Technician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of irrigation system components, including pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, wiring and timers is a MUST
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair system issues
- Ability to read irrigation maps and interpret design plans for irrigation system installation/repairs
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as digging trenches or lifting heavy equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 per week
Opportunity for overtime
Monday to Friday
Work Location: Fresno/Clovis Some day travel to surrounding areas
