POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this job description is to establish, define, and communicate the requirements of the Pump Installer at Arthur and Orum Well Drilling, Inc. This document provides expectations, responsibilities, duties, and performance requirements for the position
BASIC FUNCTION
The Pump Installer is responsible for the pump crew and site. The key purpose of this position is to ensure the safe, accurate and timely completion of pump installation and repair.
Experience
Preferred: Minimum of 3 (3) years-experience as a Pump Installer or Pump Installer Assistant installing & pulling turbine & domestic pumps.
Preferred: Bi-lingual Spanish & English
Skill, Knowledge and Abilities
1. Ability to safely operate a forklift
2. The ability to organize, direct, control, and manage materials,
supplies, and personnel
3. Knowledge of Pump rig and functions
4. Ability to safely set up pump rig to pull/install pump
5. Ability to measure and use a tape measure
6. Ability to measure stick up and adjust lateral on bowls
7. Knowledge on how to perform amp load and voltage readings
8. Language ability to include reading, writing, spelling, and the
ability to communicate
9. Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner
10. Knowledge of pipes and tube line types using thread gauge
11. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
12. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
13. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
14. Identify issues with pump, bowls, and column pipe.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position works primarily outdoors and will require the employee to travel to project job sites in company vehicles. The employee will encounter varying climates and conditions, and may be exposed to inclement weather, and significant temperature swings. Workdays will be 10 hours per day but may require overtime (12+ hours) periodically. Workdays 5-7 days per week.

1. Operate pump rig and support equipment effectively
2. Maintain safety of site
3. Maintain equipment on site (pump rig)
4. Oversee the controls & functions of the pump at all times
5. Maintain safe working environment
6. Perform repairs to the rig & all attached & detached equipment as
necessary
7. Oversee any and all individuals on the job site
