-Perform secretarial duties using legal terminology, procedures and documents.
-Prepare legal papers and correspondence such as summons, complaints, motions and subpoenas.
-Communicate with clients, court reports, interpreters, claims personnel, experts and others as needed to complete assigned tasks.
-Assist with legal research.
-Receive and process incoming mail and faxes to assigned attorneys.
-Coordinate and schedule time and location of multi-party appearances, including depositions, arbitrations, mediations, IMEs, meetings and site inspections.
REQUIREMENTS
-Previous experience as a legal secretary and/or paralegal
-Understanding of legal terms and procedures as well as office technology
-Employment law experience preferred
-Strong attention to detail
-Good multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize
