Conduct Surveys on Fresno Transit System buses

Competitive Edge is a transit research data collection firm seeking Field Interviewers for a project starting late-Sept in support of Fresno Area Express. Hired candidates will conduct electronic surveys with randomly selected passengers. The data collected will support the improvement of transit in the Fresno region and overall transportation planning and forecasting.

We are looking for staff to work 5 to 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week. Shifts will usually be between 7am and 7pm but will vary depending on transit routes. Required training will be fully paid.

Report Locations: You will report to Manchester Transit Center prior to progressing to designated routes.

Anticipated Start Date: Sept 30, 2024

Project Length: 2-3 weeks

Expected Hours: 30 – 40 per week

Requirements: You must be punctual, a natural communicator as this work requires conversing with bus riders (bilingual in Spanish and/or Hmong would be helpful, but not absolutely required) at least 18 years of age, comfortable working independently, and possess knowledge of smartphones and/or tablet programs. Prior field survey research experience is a plus.

Attire: Comfortable shoes with rubber soles for safety. Pants with no tears and no sagging. No facial tattoos or facial piercings. You will be provided with a Competitive Edge T-shirt, badge, and safety vest to indicate you are an interviewer.
