This is an excellent job for a RECENT GRADUATE from FRESNO STATE who would like to gain work experience before continuing on to GRADUATE or LAW SCHOOL.

This is a FULL TIME job for a proven HIGH ACHIEVER.

The Adobe Ranch has a family history dating back over 130 years. This job is at the headquarters of our historic cattle and farming ranch in Madera. You will be working in a large ranch house that has been converted to office & workspace.

The pay for this position is $27 PER HOUR. This job is near the Madera Ranchos. If you are coming from Fresno, this job will require a COMMUTE. The ranch is 30 MINUTES from Fresno’s RIVER PARK shopping center. The the hourly rate for this position is high but reflects the job's location and the potential commuting requirement between Fresno and Madera.

While past experience may be beneficial, this is considered an ENTRY-LEVEL position. Training will be provided to the right candidate. A FAST LEARNER with a demonstrated record of high ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT who is comfortable with COMPUTERS and MOBILE phones will do well in this position. You will be provided with a work phone.

This in-office position operates with a "remote-first" approach, emphasizing flexibility and the ability to seamlessly support the Ranch Manager, both in-person and via email/text message and with digital or scanned documents utilizing the CLOUD. The ideal candidate is a HIGHLY ORGANIZED and detail-oriented individual with strong organizational, computer, and independent work skills. Key responsibilities encompass bookkeeping tasks, records management, and general administrative support. Occasional projects may involve the digitization and organization of historical photos and records.

A crucial initial project will involve updating and reconciling accounting records for the past year. This requires meticulous ATTENTION TO DETAIL, independent problem-solving, and the ability to effectively see patterns and troubleshoot.

Bookkeeping:

Perform bank reconciliations.

Maintain and verify schedules of recurring vendor payments and rent receipts.

Monitor revenues and expenditures, ensuring data is accurately recorded in the company's financial accounting system.

Properly code, enter, and adjust all financial transactions, archiving corresponding backup documentation.

Prepare monthly profit & loss statements using Excel.

Review and research accounting records, compiling information as needed.

Administrative Support:

Scanning, filing, and copying electronic and written materials.

Records management.

General administrative support as needed.

Occasional Projects:

Digitization and organization of photos and historical records.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or current student with exceptional academic record

Excellent English reading, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Clear handwriting and speech.

Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Strong problem-solving, active listening, learning, and critical thinking abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including Excel pivot tables.

Superb time-management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Fast learner.
