Commercial Glaziers Wanted
Clovis Glass, Inc has immediate openings for Commercial Journeyman Glaziers to install storefront, curtainwall and other simple to complicated glass systems. We are looking for Glaziers who are clean, professional and take pride in their work.
Must have a valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record as a condition of employment. The employee must be insurable with our insurance provider.
Highly competitive pay (up to $30 per hour depending on qualifications). In addition, we do some prevailing wage jobs that sometimes doubles this pay. Plus, the company also provides fully paid health, dental and vision insurance for the employee. This is an additional value of up to $8.00/hr paid for by the company on the employee’s behalf. We provide 10 paid holidays per year and a very generous vacation policy with up to 4 weeks of vacation after only 4 years. This position offers excellent opportunities for advancement, training and education.
As a Glazier for Clovis Glass, you are to measure, cut, and install glass and fittings in homes and businesses. A glazier’s responsibilities include but are not limited to working with blueprints to cut glass to specifications, assembling and fitting glass in shop windows, sliding doors, display cases, bathroom units, and other home or commercial structures. A glazier may be assigned to field work or shop work as needed. A glazier may be moved to and from many departments according to the benefit of the company. Every job assignment is equally important to the success of the company. There is no such thing as “not my job” at Clovis Glass.
Clovis Glass was founded in 1964 and has a premier team of installers, sales and administrative staff. The company's working area covers Central California between Modesto and Bakersfield with an emphasis in Fresno County. This position is for our Clovis location. You must be 18 to apply and have the physical ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, work in outdoor elements and lift and carry the typical tools and materials used in glazing.
