Leading manufacturer of custom commercial cabinetry, casework and architectural millwork has a position available in our countertop department. MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE fabricating No Drip Edges, Bullnose Edges and all aspects of P-lam countertop fabrication. Must be skilled with hand tools, routers, etc., and have the ability to understand and complete quality work. We offer competitive compensation. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fabricate plastic laminate countertops with coved splash, no-drip and bullnose rolled edges, and mitered corners.
Perform quality inspections and ensure product standards are met.
Experience with Solid Surface countertop material a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE MAKING COUNTERTOPS IN A PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT.
Familiarity with plastic laminate (Formica, Wilsonart) and relevant manufacturing methods.
Proficiency with heat forming and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials, as well as proficiency with all required hand tools.
Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
Ability to read/understand shop drawings & production lists.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Able to be on time and present for work daily.
May assist in other areas of the shop as required.
Physical Demands:
· Work involves walking, talking, hearing, and using material handling equipment.
· Vision abilities require close visual assessments.
· Required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
· May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
· Moderately loud noise levels in a production environment.
