Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Dog Bather to join our team. If you have a passion for working with animals and providing top-notch care, this position is perfect for you. We are a busy shop that works with very large Poodle types. We are looking to hire immediately, availability required Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 am-1:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Bathe and groom pets according to specific breed standards or pet owner instructions
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately during bathing and grooming procedures
- Assist in nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other basic grooming tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing pet owners' concerns and requests
Skills:
- Experience in pet care or related fields such as veterinary technician, pet grooming, or animal restraint
- Knowledge of basic grooming techniques and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners
- Familiarity with veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary assistant is a plus
- Previous experience in pet sitting, kennel work, or dog training would be beneficial
