Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:
Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts, such as bearings, pistons, gears, and hydraulic lines.
Replacing equipment engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment and components.
Travel to worksites to repair large equipment.
Maintain logs of equipment condition and work performed.
Running diagnostic tests.
Analyzing diagnostic test results.
Maintaining a parts inventory.
Skills & Requirements:
Welding
Fabrication
Safety
Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
Proficient in oil changes, brake repairs, and tire repairs
Good IT and diagnostic skills
Physically fit and able to lift to 100 pounds
Attention to detail
