Employment Opportunity—Experienced Pump Installer / Rig Operator
This is a full-time, working position in an agricultural setting; with potential for growth.

We have an immediate opening for a Lead Pump Installer / Rig Operator. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, servicing and repairing of water well pumping systems; must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively with customers, staff and management.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience pulling and installing Vertical Line Shaft Turbine Pumps; Installation of Bowls and Adjustment of Lateral Play;
At Minimum, must possess a valid Class C Driver License; A valid Class A or Class B California Commercial Driver License, with current Medical Examiner’s Report is preferred;
Must have an insurable driving record; must be prepared to present current DMV printout;
Must demonstrate working knowledge of various pumps, motors, wells, electricity and piping;
Must demonstrate ability to lift and move 50 pounds;
Will be expected to work with equipment that vibrates; and work near moving mechanical parts;
Demonstrate the Ability to Maintain a Safe Work Environment, While Completing Work in a Timely & Efficient Manner;
Must be able to stand and walk for major portion of the shift;
Must demonstrate capacity to perform quality checks and inspections in order to verify specifications on all parts; demonstrate the ability to call out measurements for top tube, shaft, keyway, and adjustment nut for electric motors and gearheads;
Must demonstrate working knowledge of electric and pump functions, including but not limited to pump rotation;
Demonstrate Knowledge of Concrete Work for Slabs to Include Installation of Sounding Tubes, Squaring of Forms for Pad, Level pad and Understanding of Below and Above Grade Requirements, Pouring and Lite Finish Work of Concrete;
Demonstrate Ability to do Basic Math to Determine GPM and Keep Neat Legible Records for Reporting;
Be Versatile and Flexible;
Bilingual a Plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
Service, remove and install Vertical Line Shaft Turbine Pumps and Submersible Pumps;
Pump Reparations, Installations and Troubleshooting;
Run Electrical Wiring and Splicing of Wire to Pump End Motor, Installation of Well Seal, Installation of Electrical Control Box, and Connection of Various Pipe Fittings and/or Plumbing and Conduit;
Responsible for driving, setting up and operating Pump Rig Derrick;
Setup and Operation of Telescoping Boom Truck (NCCC Certified);
Setup and Operation of Stationary Diesel Motor for Well Development;
Lead Pump Installer of crew, taking charge and leading others safely and efficiently through the work day;
Job preparation, assembling parts, supplies and materials;
Head up tailgate safety meetings with crew;
Maintain accurate records of time and material;
Maintain a safe work environment, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment when necessary;
Perform Well Developments, Including Identifying Sounding Water Level for Static Level, Pumping Level, and Recovery Level at Different Timed Intervals; Placement of Bowls in Relation to Perforations and Expected GPM Production, Running of Motor, RPM’s, Surges, Durations of Time and Cleaning of Water;
Complete Other Pertinent Tasks, as Needed; Outside of Installing Pumps.
