We are looking for an experienced dispatcher with a proven track record in dispatch, customer service and communication in a transport and customer focused environment. He/she will have good knowledge of reading and interpreting load boards, scheduling effective routing and planning.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Communicate promptly and professionally with transport customers/drivers to ensure that the service provided match what is required
Assist the manager with all elements of the transport service process
Assist with route development and input into the load board
Monitor drivers' locations and transport times via Sensara tracking program
Help coordinate trucking fleet to meet demand
Work with management to ensure DOT compliance
Report any issues that delay the success of each delivery to all necessary parties
Help improve the overall hauling process where necessary
Required Qualifications:
Problem resolution and analytical ability
Ability to communicate with multiple parties in a timely manner as well as maintain professionalism
Possess an excellent attitude at all times
Multitask several parts of the transport process
Track and monitor a fleet of 8 trucks & trailers during deliveries/pickups
Must be a conscientious worker, self-motivated and detail oriented
Must have a reliable form of transportation
Needs to be available to communicate with manager and drivers throughout the whole day (i.e. be available to receive
calls at all times if any emergencies/problems arise)
